HEART OF THE BARRIO. The Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts celebrates its 35th anniversary in style, with live bands, and artistic activities. Chelis López hosts this edition live from the center, which has served as the “Heart of the Barrio” in San Francisco’s Mission District. Chelis talks with Greg Landau, the musical producer for the film "La Mission," and for "Patato" Valdez, Maldita Vecindad and Susana Baca. Landau speaks about the evolution of the arts in the Mission district, his musical productions, and the calls to restore grassroots music categories that were eliminated in the Grammy Awards.
